The distance from Athens up to Volos is 317 km, that is to say roughly 3,5 hours of driving. Respectively from Thessaloniki, Volos is found in the 219 km, that is to say around 2,5 hours of driving. Afterwards, from Volos to Keramidi you can see the following local map of Pilion, where you can seek more details and the description of the way.

    From Volos, the visitor can follow the provincial road via N.Ionia, Melissiatika, Glafira, Kerassia and Kanalia (with many turns), or take the exit of city to the national road and before he reaches the crossing of Velestino he turns right to Kanalia (side by side to lake Karla). After passing Kanalia, it follows mountainous but comfortable road through a splendid forest with oaks. The total distance from Volos is roughly 50 km.

    From Thessaloniki or Athens, the visitor that is moved in the national road is supposed, after he approaches the crossing of Velestino, to take the exit to Volos and very shortly to turn to Kanalia, following the directives of previous description.

    From Larissa, the visitor can move via the national road to Volos and follow the previously described directives or via Aghia, Aghiokambos, Polidedri and Sklithro. The way afterwards Sklithro (roughly 13 km.) is muddy and not in a very good condition.
